osama hide and seek

This thread goes toward the ongoing war on terror which is in defense of our rights which of course includes the second amendment.

I'm looking for confirmation or disproof of a rumor and I stress "Rumor" that the government actually knows where osama bin ladin is.

I have heard they refuse to take him out, due to the fact that if they do, his second in command, his brother-in-law, will take over if he is illiminated. I don't know his name, but he is supposed to be much more calculating and clever than osama is when it comes to planning strategic strikes against us their enemy. It was previously thought in years past before 9/11 that osama was a crazy man who had assets but no real expertise in employing them against a country like us. But this other guy has been supposedly feared by governments for years for his acts of terror and the ingenuity behind them. I want to know if despite all the lives lost so far in the war on terror, right now focused on the wrong country in my opinion, is this country's government too afraid to make the right move in taking out the man America hates the most. Or is our bosting of we do not bow down or negotiate with terrorists all just talk with no action, or in Iraq's case, the wrong action.

Don't get me wrong, I believe the Iraq war for their freedom is necessary, but osama should have come first. I do think Bush, or at least those working for him, instantly saw 9/11 as an excuse to take on hussein. That right now is beside the point.

So has anyone heard anything similar to this?

P.S. And please don't respond with stuff like this isn't gun related or point out the fact that this is all based on rumor. I have already stated my reasons for posting this thread and all I want is clarification and replies that address the validity of these rumors. Thankyou all.

I don't think any of our security clearances go that high 'round here, but don't worry, I'm sure zealots of all stripes will be along shortly to assure you they know.

Where is the tinfoil hat icon?

The border between Afganistan and Pakistan is a gigantic area, one of the most inhospitable places on earth, with the hindu-kush mountain range and extraordinarally clannish islamic tribesmen. The area of Pakistan near the border is Waziristan, which is techincally part of Pakistan, but is effectively under tribal control. It would take several divisions of troops to reassert central control over the area, and its doubtful the Pakistani government has the resources to do so.

Osama will never be caught. Not because we can catch or kill him, but because to some (liberals, blissninnys, Democrats) once he is caught or killed, the War on Terror will be over.

Our leaders have said repeatedly that they know where Osama is. They just can't get to him because he's hiding in a country that we're not at war with and don't want our troops on their soil.

They know where he is. From what I've read, he's hiding in Pakistan and Predator drones are eyeballing him 24/7/365.

Seeing as how he is a mass murderer, responsible for the deaths of 3000+ American citizens, and seeing as how Pakistan has refused to apprehend and turn him over to U.S. forces, I propose the following:

The U.S. Government owes it to We The Pepole, and especially to the surviving families of the 9-11 victims to go wherever Bin Laden is - regardless of imaginary lines on the ground - and bring him out, dead or alive.

While we are at it, our troops can go get the dreaded brother-in-law and bring him to justice, too.

To do any less sends the following messages to the enemy and to the rest of the world:

1: American lives are an expendable commodity.
2: The U.S. Government does not care when its citizens are murdered the streets of America.
3: The "leaders" of the U.S. Government are guilty of dereliction of duty.
4: The "leaders" of the U.S. Government are cowards and have no integrity.

It turns my stomach to say these things, but our "leaders" have, by their actions made it abundantly clear to the world that these things are true.

The idea of him running around like a hunted animal, always lookin over his shoulder for a predator drone, wondering who will sell him out, sleeping in a cave, moving from place to place, hiding, wondering, watching, listening to every footstep....that idea makes me smile:)

Sometimes life aint so great...bet saddam is happier now that he was in a hole :) Didnt Eichman feel releived when he got caught?

Osama hide and seek???

I think Osama is already dead....:) Nobody has heard a thing from him in the last year or so. No video tapes, or even audio tapes. I think he has gone to meet his 72 Virgins and the bad guys just don't want us to know. You can't run very far or very fast hooked up to a kidney dialysis machine. :D Unless they (Bad Guys) can prove he's still alive, I'll continue to think he's kicked off!:)

NO WAY! He is there and no doubt planning another big surprise for us. I can't believe even this fumbling stooge like group of 3 (jwb(larry), cheney(moe), and rumsfeld(curley)):barf: would be smart enough not to shoot themselves in the foot. They would probaly do it anyhow to advance their "cause."
"""""MISSION ACCOMPLISED"""""THERE ARE NO INSURGENTS IN IRAQ"""""OIL HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT"""""

Dern, you've got it all figured out. I'm surprised the Dems haven't asked you to run for President.

The Drudgereport has an item from MSNBC or CNN that we used a missile to blow up the #3 in Al-Qaeda inside of Pakistan.

Thus, if we can do that and we know where he is - honor suggests blowing him up rather than some complicated crap based on his IQ and personality tests.

WildAK, we caint go makin em suffer to much now we dont wanna make em mad they might fight us , or blow somthin up, or take down some buildings like they used to before we mad them mad.:D

Thats right its all our fault...actually its Dubyas fault and all of those neocons with the name of witz that secretly run the country :o :0 :)

Let's remember these are religious fanatics here, I don't think osama is worried about being soled out to anybody by anybody. Everything gets much more complicated when you involve religion in anything much less political views and war mongering. Anyway, alive or dead, I guess the point is America's leaders dropped the ball on the osama issue. They figured saddam is much easier to go after since we know where he is and he's too conceded to think we can stop him.

I'm not a politician or lobbyist, hell I don't even watch cnn. Was just wondering if all the so called progress we've made on taking out alqaida members has really made a damn bit of difference in the long run. We can kill all the leaders we want, it still only takes one nuke in a U.S. city to send a blaring message that we failed the expectations of most of the world.

On the other hand, since when did we have to take the responsibility of the world's problems on our shoulders. I understand volunteers wanting to help out other people and stuff but just how many countries around the world do we have peace keeping troops in now?
