Organizing turret heads

Right now I reload 5 calibers, and each caliber/die set I want to have it's own turret. I'm looking for a way to organize all these, especially since I will be adding 3 calibers soon.

I was thinking about getting a 2x and cutting a hole so the turret sits in it like on the press(lee classic cast 4 hole) but I have a small margin of error as the lip isn't much larger.

So how do you guys keep a bunch organized? I'm specially interested in those with the Lee classic cast

The red Lee die box works good too, but you won't be able to use the
cover if you store your dies with a powder measure affixed to them.

My bench has a back, sawed holes for the turrets & hinged the shelf to tilt down for easy access, but mostly to maximize room for other stuff under the shelf.
Makes for a tidy bench, and keeps the turrets back out of the way, and out of harm's way...

Inline Fabrication, cheap and easy and they work!

Here is my set up

I keep all my dies ready to go and set for particular rifles. The locations are charted on the paper hanging from the end of the bookshelf.

Follow this link to see several idea's...mine is at post #11.
I hope this helps.

@Smoke & Recoil: I love this idea. I have some pieces of 3" PVC pipe that I cut with a hacksaw, and it is a pain, plus it is hard to cut them straight! My turrets are all leaning slightly in every direction like small leaning tower of Pisas!!!

Is this contraption of yours one piece, or is it two pieces glued together? It is hard to tell from the pictures. I searched at Lowe's and did not see anything like this. I will check Home Depot.

Thanks for the great idea!

This fitting is a one piece...it has 3" female threads at one end and
3" pvc socket weld (glue) at the other. I bought these at Home Depot.

If you need more help, just give a yell.

I at times go a month or better without loading certain rounds. Due to this I store mine in ammo cans separated between pistol and rifle with a desiccant pack in each one.

4" PVC pipe

Short sections of 4" PVC Pipe can do as a holder, and lining them up and attaching them to a board will do, but a 1x6 with 4" holes is a lot more elegant.

Good luck on your project

@Smoke & Recoil: I found those same pieces at Lowe's (Home Depot is a long drive for me), and they work *GREAT*! Thanks for the tip!

As I mentioned before, I was just using 3" PVC pipe that I cut as straight as I could with a hack saw, but never seemed to be able to get them level, so even though they worked fine, they looked pretty "jangky" (that is a work my 24 YO son uses a lot, I have no idea how to spell it!).

These pieces cost about $3.60 each at Lowe's, and I can buy a 4-foot section of 3" PVC pipe for about the same price, but it is totally worth it! I bought 5 of them for about $18.00, but they look much better and are a lot easier to use (sawing PVC is a pain and makes a mess).

Thank you for the great tip!!!
