O'Reilly asks...

Tonight on the O'Reilly Factor, Bill, in his "Talking points" addressed the problem of why neither candidate is taking any commanding lead in the election.
He attributed this to the fact that neither candidate has taken a really strong stance on anything that people feel strongly about.
Then Bill O'Reilly committed to disclose on his show tommorrow (the #1 rated cable news program), the issues the American people feel the most strongly about and vote upon.
He will arrive at these issues by the email he receives before then.

I wrote my intention to vote for him, who most likely will uphold his oath to the U.S. Constitution..especially the 2nd Amendment, without trying to twist, or distort it.

Perhaps you would like to add your 2 cents.

Let's take advantage of free air time folks.

What is the most pressing issue that is causing me to vote?

GUN CONTROL

Before any other issues were discussed I made up my mind when Gore voted for gun control. When the Justice Departments position is that the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is not an individual right, and that it feels the government can take guns away from law abiding citizens, it's time for a change. We don't need another administration in charge who don't understand what "the rights of the people" mean.

There's a reason Gore is not pressing this issue, he would loose hands down in Michigan and Pennsylvania. People accuse Bush of being in the NRAs pocket, what about Gore being the spokesman for HCI and other gun control zealots. Law abiding people have to fear a government that does not trust them, whether it's with guns or your money.

People complain about the influence the NRA has, at least the NRAs money and power comes from its members, not deep pocket social foundations and slick PR firms.

By the way, just finished your book the other night. It was great to hear in words what I've only thought about for years. We need more journalists like you, unafraid to speak the truth and present issues in a fair and balanced manner. Unfortunately for many issues, the extremists can not support their arguments with facts and logic, instead relying on emotions. You should have included animal rights, gun control, environmentalist and abortion extremists in your list of what is bad in America. We will only move forward on issues such as these by finding common ground and not basing public policy on the mantras of the far right or the far left.

Keep up the good work. You've gained my respect by being outspoken, fair, and balanced.

Peace...

Vote at the polls, now. Or, we will be voting from the roof tops, later.

Politicians prefer unarmed peasants.
I am neither".
