Oregon's Gun Laws?

Alright you knowledgeable forum members, maybe you can help me find a good source for Oregon's gun laws.
I may have a pass out of Kalifornia to a new job near Portland, OR and dont have much time to get aquainted with the laws there. I'm guessing they are better than CA.
So any references to good informational websites, any personal experiences from present or past citizens of that beautiful state, please speak up! Thanks.

Been awhile.

1. Don't say you are from California. Lie,
say you are from Vulcan.

2. You can get concealed carry permits pretty easily.

3. Lots of fun shooting things around Portland but it's been 6 years so I will let someone else to the details.

Oregon is a "shall issue" state. Thread above is correct in what you need, except I think that the cost is a bit high. Remember it being more like $65 fee. Oregon is also a Class III state. So, if you have auto shears for your assault weapon, it is not only legal, but I want to be your best friend. :) Places to shoot outside of city limits have become unfriendly to shooters. Best places to shoot are in the national forest and private gun ranges.

PS: change your plates as soon as you get here and tell everyone you are from just about anywhere but Kalifornia.

Thanks for the Oregon CCW info. I'm a Washington state resident and would like to get a CCW for Oregon as well, as I do spend some time there.

I'll have to look into the 'resident only' clause and see if there's a way around it :)

Thanks for the replies all. I declined the job there, they were getting pushy and I was having doubts about Oregon. Anyone know of a CAD position in AZ? :D

I don't know about Arizona, but Idaho issues CCWs for four years. Idaho also recognizes and honors ALL CCWs from other states.

Lots of high tech jobs round the Boise area.
FWIW. J.B.
