Ordering from wideners

Hey all,

Just got my wideners flyer and noticed a little gem in there. Unfortunately that gem is a modern 9mm semi automatic that requires an FFL. I've never ordered a gun online before and obviously never ordered one from wideners either.

So I need some help. I understand that I need to get someone with an FFL license to receive the gun for me(LGS I guess) but what is usually the proccess for ordering a gun from wideners? Would I go to my FFL and have them order it for me? Or would I just order it myself and have it shipped to my LGS?

I know that some gun shops may do it differently but what is usually the proccess?

Thanks for the advice

It can be done either way, and which way it gets done usually depends on the preference of the FFL who will do the transfer. The guy I work with lets me do the purchase if it's a private deal, but coming from a distributor such as Wideners he usually places the order.

Do a search of your zip code on Gunbroker's FFL finder. You may be able to do the transfer for half of what your LGS charges. At least that's been my experience.
