Ordered The Wife's Valentine's pistol Today. :)

Today I ordered the wife a Taurus Total Titanium .38 special, in matte spectrum blue. (What the hey, she's a girl!) This is the pistol she picked out. While in the gun shop I looked at the one in dark grey that they had in stock. The trigger was good, the cylinder was smooth, and the hammer worked as it should. I'll let you know how she likes it. I feel pretty good about it though. The shop owner said that he has NO Total Ti dissatisfied customers.

Ankeny,
Now, now. I don't want to put her off with recoil. She has been shooting my S&W Chief's Special with Federal 125gr. hollow points. (Regular pressure) This round is working pretty good for her. I want her to have some fun, and the 125gr. is a good round.

Hey, I think that Spectrum Blue is pretty too!

I've had a 85 Multi Alloy for several months now. It's not as pretty as the total titaniums (matte grey cylinder and barrel shroud, aluminum frame) but it sure is light (13.5oz.).
I do suggest you put several boxes of ammo through it (not +P's...maybe a box of them..due to the cost) as soon as you can.
My 85 had several light hammer strikes, resulting in misfires. Taurus, with their excellent warranty policy, replaced some parts. Gun works great now...it's my favorite one to carry (due to weight and size).

I don't reccomend you follow this suggestion. The gun is rated for +P only.
