Ordered new rifle yesterday.

Hello, new to the forum :) . It is a .22 Magnum Marlin XT-22M Model. I hope everything goes to plan as far as the action working as planned and no jams because I was always scared to buy a Semi-Auto with a clip because I heard they usually end up jamming all the time. Then I heard with the Bolt Action models that since you are manually feeding the bullets that it wont be a problem. Does anyone have such rifle and how does it work out as far as accuracy goes? I have a newer edition Marlin with the Bolt hold safety action so it tells you that you are empty so you wont dry fire the gun! It is very very accurate and I love that gun. Thanks for any replies! :)

The politically correct term is (external) magazine. A clip is used to insert rounds into an internal magazine.

I don't know about that specific rifle. In the vast majority of cases modern bolt action rifles like the XT-22M work fine and dandy. There are occasional problems with magazines, but they're easy to fix or replace.

Or, maybe a detachable box magazine?

As for magazine fed autos being likely to jam, M14, BAR, etc., are not known for "jamming", if kept clean.
