Options for trigger job on Marlin Model 60?

Hey all, was wondering if any one has any suggestions on how to improve the trigger on a model 60 marlin. I am ideally looking to take out some of the slack, and maybe lighten the pull a little, make it a little more crisp. Having trouble finding any info on this subject. Thanks

Sir:
Welcome to the forum.
Truthfully, I've never fooled with one - I do have one though and its trigger is awful but I just realize it's a cheapie and don't bother with it - I feel it would be unsafe if I fooled with it.

I happen to love my trigger, it seems to have a light pull to it (3 pounds or less i believe). Also very crisp with no slack, thats just mine tough. I hear that it is either hit or miss with the triggers on these. I have a model 99C same trigger i believe besides the gold plating.:)
