Options for dark/black Parkerizing

I recently took up parkerizing and must say Im pleased overall. However, my finishes are not as dark as I would like them to be. Im running low on funds for gun projects so I was looking for an alternative to pre-dip blackener Brownells has. Is there something I could use pre or post treatment to get these parts dark grey to black? Any advice is much appreciated.

FAL, I have used Brownells Alumahyde II with complete satisfaction over phosphate finishs. It is an epoxy product that takes several days to cure after application. The end result matches HKs black finish perfectly. The stuff is available in several colors, I have only used the matte black. It is outstanding on fiberglass stocks as well. Rob
