Optilock

I have a new Tikka ordered, which should be in this week. I need to start thinking of a mounting system.
I've heard good things about the Optilock, but know little about it.
Is the Optilock a base, mount and rings all together? Nothing else needed?? Except the scope, of course.

Any recommendations would be welcome.

Anyone know any online sites that would carry the Optilock?

Thanks.

The Optilock rings are as you surmise, rings and bases in one. They are a little pricier than a normal ring and base set up and maybe a tad heavier but are a very good mounting system. The plastic inserts help prevent scope damage and the entire unit, rings and scope can be taken off with a hex key. I've found the Tikka and Sako Optilock rings to be a little higher than conventional mounts so unless you are using a 50mm objective the low rings should do.

Congratulations on the Tikka. I shot one for years until I decided to buy a Sako (same company). Very accurate rifles, adjustable triggers, ultra smooth action and competitive price to Remington etc. and IMHO a better product.
The Tikka is also drilled and tapped for conventional Weaver bases should you so choose.

Can't help with sites but your dealer should have the rings available.

You will love this rifle.
If you can't locate a retailer for the optilocks, call Beretta USA direct. They should have some available or refer you to retailer that does.

My set up is a #61 Weaver steel base set with Burris Signature Zee Rings. These rings have the plastic inserts too. Mine is rock solid.

Enjoy!
