Optics

My wife likes to shoot but her eyesight prevents her from effectively using the sights so I was looking for a optic to use a good short range scope halo sights will work something that she will not have problems looking through a big objective. It will be mounted on a 39A I am open for any thoughts. I am kinda hoping someone here has come across this at some point in time

How much do you want to spend?
What distances will she be shooting?
Are you referring to the Marlin 39A lever .22 rifle?

More info will lead to better advice :D

A few options:
* You can put a red dot scope like the Bushnell Trophy on a 22. No magnification, you look through the scope at the target and align the crosshairs/dot.

* You could put a low magnification rimfire scope on the rifle, something like a 1.5-5X or 2-7X. It will work close up and farther away.

* You can put a reflex sight on the rifle. Similar to a scope, but simpler.

Is there a local gun shop where she can try a red dot or a scope - there is no substitute for a test drive :D

Regarding an inexpensive red dot, I personally like the Vortex Sparc - I have this mounted on one of my own rifles and really like it.

Regarding an inexpensive scope - I had the opportunity to try the Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4 x 20mm - it was an eye opener among all scopes I have observed. It was like looking at a big screen HD tv for the first time.
