Optics ready guns

I am thinking about buying an optics ready gun. I know Glock and Smith and Wesson have come out with optics ready pistols in the last year or so. Are there any other gun makers that have them now or are rumored to be coming out with one.

My choices are limited to 45acp and 9mm

Sure. SIG, FN, Walther, all have options, though I haven't seen the SIG option in a store yet and FN's is a hammer fired 45 ACP.

Did you have a preference in terms of hammer or striker fired?

I bought one of the Sig 226 SAO's with the Sig optic back in Feb and I LOVE it! First Sig, first optic on a handgun, and now, my FAVORITE handgun!

Sig Sauer P320RX. P320 with Sig Sauer Romeo 1 optic already installed. Also saw the P226 with the factory mounted Romeo 1 yesterday. Just awesome. Want it, But just made another purchase. Damm timing.

Honestly being the guy who has spent way to much to get his glock slide milled and purchased a trijicon red dot, get the sig 320rx. I could have bought two of them for what I've paid to have done on my glock.

For me it is worth it. But now I really want the 320rx just to compare

Probably striker fired

The XD and XDm line can have optics installed. Springer Precision sells the plates for them. They replace the rear sight.

I've seen Vortex Venoms and Burris Fastfire III's mounted on them, and also the Glock MOS line.

Both are very small, and weigh around an ounce each.

How much are you looking to spend? Striker or Hammer fired?
I picked up the Walther PPQ Q5 Match it is a heck of a pistol with maybe the best trigger right out of the box ;) I put the Vortex Viper on it and love the combo.

Sig 320RX

I wonder if the Sig 320RX requires a Sig Romeo sight or if it is compatible with other red dot sights like Burris, Vortex, etc.

Does anyone know?

Plenty of guys around that will mill a slide for $150ish. Almost any handgun without the safety on the slide is a candidate. In those cases you can use an adapter plate to fit the rear dovetail.
