Hey guys I am looking to surprise my dad with a nice optic for his Super redhawk I am open to magnified and non so just let me know what your using! Pics would be nice as well if possible. Also if its a scope I think he'd like a stainless one as close to the finish as possible.
Optic suggestions for 9.5" SRH?

I have a Leupold 2x on my 9.5 SBH. Havent had any problems with it at all.

I'll second the Leupold 2X. Burris 2-7 or 1-4 are decent options as well. If you want a red dot, I've had good experiences with Ultradot. I've also used Leupold's Deltadpoint with success on a revolver.
I use Leupold and Burris variables.
The Burris have nice clean optics but both of them lose significant eye relief with magnification.
My Leupold loses a bit of eye relief with magnification but it is at most half the loss of the Burris.
For a fixed power scope either will serve you well.
For a variable scope Leupold is the best buy in my book.

If he Deer Hunts in the woods I would go with an UltraDot 30.

He would have to swap rings. If his rings are new Ruger will swap them out for 30mm.
I have a pair of 480 Ruger Super RedHawks. I have a 1" UltraDot on one that came with it, and a 30mm on the 9.5. I will end up getting another 30mm for the 7.5 inch one. The 1" does not have a big enough field of view. Same problem you have with a 1" handgun scope.
I find the 30mm much easier to get on deer with in the woods.
For woods hunting inside 100 yards I really like my 30mm UltraDot.
They are still made in Japan, and have a reputation for holding up well. Something that cannot be said for China built junk.
