Opinions on the Witness full size 45

A few years ago this gun got real popular among the IPSC crowd at the range I frequent. It was a 10 round 45 for their stock gun class. The feedback I heard/saw was the these guns do not hold up well to extended use. Understand, these guys shoot a thousand rounds a month and think nothing of it. If you are an occasional shooter the Witness may work for you. If you shoot a lot I would shy away from them. YMMV!

I've had my .45 Witness for a while now and like it. It is heavy for CCW, but hasn't had a FTF in over 1000 rounds. Got the Walnut grips and it reduced the circumference of the grip quite a bit. Got nothing but good things to say about it so far. Had a couple spots of rust on it but it was my fault for storing it for a while without wiping it down at all. A little Tetra Gun and a couple of minutes it was just fine. Hope this helps.

I have the "Wonder Finish" full size 45. I love it. Plenty accurate, mags are cheap and available everywhere. I've had mine for a couple years now, and I think it's a great value for the money. It's one of the few guns I have that shoots Wolf ammo accurately and reliably, and lead bullets with no problems of excessive leading.

MINE

Mine is an unbelievably accurate but unreliable-feeding keeper.

With its 38 Super slide mounted it becomes an unbelievably accurate 100%-reliable Witness.
Hmmmmm....................

Gonnagetta 10 too.
