Opinions on Rem 799 in 22 hornet??

Looking for your opinions from 799 owners on how they like them. I am looking at a NIB 22 Hornet, I like the fact that it is a mauser style action and a 20" barrel.
 
Not familiar with the Rem 799... Might want to take a look at the offerings from
CZ [have a friend with the international stocked one (20.5" barrel), Very Nice]

Also Ruger and Browning offer new rifles in .22 hornet.

Mine is a 60 year old Winchester, so doesn't apply.

Remington quit importing them... There was nothing wrong with them... They also stopped importing the 798 (mauser 98 sporter) and the Spartan Shotguns made by Baikal... European American Armory / USSG is importing the Z98 (same gun as the 798) and the Baikal Shotguns... This mauser 98 variant has also been imported by Interarms and Charles Daly in addition to other importers.. To my knowledge no one is currently importing the mini mausers that were know as the 799...
 
i have owned three mini mausers. two in 223 which didnt feed, one in 222 which fed well and shot well. however the top of the bridge where the scope mounts sit didnt conform to the available mounts. thought i would share my experiences so you had so insight. bobn
