Opinions on Beretta 87 Target and scope options?

Just off the phone with my friendly neighborhood gun shop. Told them to put back the Beretta 87 Target I fondled yesterday and I would be there this afterlunch to pick it up. Seemed like a outstanding pistol and I am even now thinking of putting some sort of optics on it. I have an Optima on a Glock which is OK at best but I am thinking more of a "traditional" red dot. I suppose the Bushnell Holosight would be nice but it seems a lot like the Optima. At least with rifles, I usually end up spending as much or more for the optics as I do the firearm and this firearm is $500 so there is the pricing range. I guess my main criteria would be if it is to be an electronic sight then I want to be able to change the battery without loosing zero.

For those of you that have one, have you been pleased with the 87 Target? Have you mounted any optics on it?

What are some good sources for electronic handgun sights?

The 87 Target was reviewed in the July 2000 issue of Handguns. Using a 10X Burris intermediate relief scope, the best group was 0.2" with Federal Match Rifle.

I have yet to see one. But if it is as good as it looks, I plan on buying one.

Sources for electronic sights:
Natchez
Larry's Guns
Sable Co.
