looking at purchasing a mossberg 535 Turkey/ feild combo mainly for a turkey gun. (extra barrel comes at same price, DICKS is running special $299, combo w/ red dot). I have been using a rem 1100 with 30" full choke barrel for years and am looking for somthing a liitle better suited to the task. Wondering if anyone has experience with the 535, worth it or not?

835 may be better.

I am unsure of the price but I got the 835 and have had good luck with it.
For Turkey it is Full camo, has fiber optic sights, shoots 3.5", screw-in chokes and is "OverBored". In this case Overbored means 10 gauge bore with a 12 gauge chamber. This does two things. 1. Bettter pattern. @. Less recoil. Some of them also have ported barrels or 20" barrels which are better in a turkey blind. I have a Knox pistol grip/collasible stock which works well when laid back against a tree. Mossberg has one similar call a "tactical turkey"

It's not a bad price for a Mossberg 535!

Probably much better than the goose gun you are now using.

I would go for it, and I am a Remington man at heart!
