Not only is that a Remington 870, but it is the Marine's Mark I version. I thought that the Marines would have had them updated with synthetic stocks or gotten rid of the magazine bracket/bayonet mount, but they must still have the original parts (The Mark I came out in about 1969 or 1970, and they only made around 5000 from what I have read). Thanks for posting this picture, since I like collecting pics of the Mark I. to verify its use in theaters of battle (its been everywhere since the Mayaguez incident-- got pics from Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm, just not in Somalia, but the Marine FAST teams used the folding stock police version of the 870 with extended mag tube).
