Illegal?

If the founding fathers had been concerned about the so-called "illegal" status of their actions then they wouldn't have resisted and fought the really illegal-immoral acts of the British Government.

NOTE: The Parliament and the government of King George were not nearly as bad as our government has been for the past forty to fifty years. Let's realize that if a private citizen had an agenda
one half as bad as that of many of our leaders today he would have been promptly executed for treason.
 
Not illegal to make a gun anyway, as long as you don't build a banned weapon, and as long as you pay the tax if/when you sell it.

That said, Battle-Time you need to check your history.
 
Battle-Time: "Government Griping" is done in either the General Forum or in the Legal & Political forum--so long as you're talking about Gummint and Guns.

When you say "...making guns.", do you mean starting with raw steel stock and going the whole route? Or assembling from parts and pieces? Are you just wanting to make one for yourself, or are you talking about production for sale?
