One heck of a hobby!

I've been hunting and shooting for only about 15 years now. 20 years ago I never would have guessed that I'd own multiple handguns and long guns. Never imagined reloading or buying a gun just for the fun of shooting it. It all kind of started when I was bored during cat fishing trips and bought a bb gun (really) to plink with. Then I inherited a shotgun and a bolt action 22 from my father in-law and that lead to hunting and away we go. The only other thing in my "hobby" life that comes close is fishing. I have a lot of fishing gear too.

Life is goo.

I grew up shooting a BB gun, then a 22 single shot, then a couple of lever action deer rifles, then shot guns. Had to give up pretty much everything that was fun when I got divorced....had to pay child support (which is only right--my kids needed me and my support) but the ex decided she would go to school for 5 years on my money, and that kept me in the poor house for seemed like ever. Got married again about 15 years ago, and my new father-in-law gave me some reloading equipment that his dad had left when he passed away. It has evolved to a sickness---I think about guns and shooting and hunting almost all the time. Have a small safe full of long guns and shotguns. Hand load about 3-4000 rounds per year for prairie dog shooting and medium game hunting. Never had this much fun before in my entire life.

You are right---life is good! :)
