One for the Glock Heads

Been shoppin for a sub compact Glock...like g33 or g27. Is the newer g33 frame different than the .40 g27. I know both can convert into each other but just curious about the frames strength or dimension changes. Oh and .357 sig rocks! I think my p229 is now just as accurate as my p226 and p220. My p229 in 40 was hard as hell to hit a huge acetalyn tank @ 100yards. The .357 never missed as did the 45. Sorry for the sig plug but I am craving a Glock...g30 is already on the hit list, I just need rex on the little one. Thanks...

The G33 and G27 frames being made now are identical. There are some older G27s out there without the beefed-up frame.

I HOPE TO GOD THAT THE TANK WAS EMPTY.

if your going to convert the glock so you can shoot both .40 and .357sig you should get the G33 and then get a .40 barrel. this is just because .40 barrels are easier to find.

Five gallon size propane tanks better, cheaper, easier to penetrate and you can still throw the Glock in the fire and burn up all the evidence without loosin much.

Sam....My favorite 9mm is a 9X32

The tank was empty!!! I really don't like the idea of shrapnel zippin back at me even at 100yds. It was at my local outdoor range and it hangs from an ibeam and chain. Looks like a lot of people have shot something like the 308 at it. Kinda cool! My pistols just hit it I believe and bounce off. So many rounds in it one can't tell. I might try that propane trick though...in the desert of course! Thanks for the frame advice. I think I'll get the g33.

AFAIK, the Glock 26/27/33 use the same frame and springs, always have, still do, haven't changed.

There were some changes to the frame rails on the mid and full size 9/40 frames though around 92 and again in 96.
Some of the older 9/40s do not have the longer rear rails, reinforced front rails. All the mid/full size 357s do, and even the early "transitional" frame 9/40/357 models w/o the finger grips and accessory rails.

Gets confusing, doesn't it? :)

Wheeeew, Ok cool.
I just don't want to here of any of our members getting hurt doing something that common sense tells them is kinda dumb.
We're under the gun too much already to be acting stupid.
Safty First!!!!!!

Oh, and I got a G26 that I am rather fond of. The 33, or the 27 are real good too. Just a caliber preference.

After the first shot from the Sig, its no longer pressurized!

How about a safe?
Is it safe to shoot at a safe?
