I just bought an in-line rifle from T/C and was primeing the breach and discovered that the primer (209x50) would only go in about half the full
length. Since I've never loaded a 209 primer in an "in-line", I was wondering
if maybe one of you fellows actually have fired this type M/L rifle. I understand that several reloading component manufactures (Remington
and Winchester ) sell what they deem " muzzle-loading" primers. Are these
primers the same Dia. as standard 209 Shotgun primers? I really don't have
a warm-fuzzy-feeling about the primer sticking out like it does and being
fired. Any advice would be welcomed.
