oly arms

Got my Oly back in 1989. Very fine machine work and anodizing. Inside of the receiver smooth as glass. Can't praise them highly enough. Accurate, primo.

I've heard less complimentary things about the new ones, but can't speak first hand.

I hear people complain about the high-temp paint they use now instead of anodizing. Matter of taste. The paint IS mil-spec, is easy to refresh, and is tougher if not as hard as the anodizing.

I have an Oly Arms PCR-4, and have been more than happy with it after an initial hiccup: The chamber was too tight (first two pulls of the trigger resulted in cartridge case left in chamber after extractor pulled through rim). But I sent it back to them and since I got it back it's been nothing but reliable and accurate.

All in all, they're a good buy from the standpoint of what you get for what you pay.

I got a PCR rifle kit and slapped it on a stripped RRA lower. Fit and finish on the OLY parts are GREAT. Very clean. Function is great. Can't find a darn thing wrong with it AT ALL. Got the whole kit and caboodle for just over $600
