I've never seen this ammo before. It was the same price as the Winchester super X 2 3/4 00 buck. It says Olin corporation and Winchester on the box. It also says military grade. Any body have any experience with this stuff? Just curious is all. Thanks.

We had it in watchstander shotguns. Just plain old 00, not sure, probably 37.5 pages of specs that make it military grade. Wonder if it is waterproofed. No flying monkeys burst out when it goes bang, just 9 plain old boring lead balls. From shooting it I noticed no great difference from any other buck I've shot, holds a decent pattern out of the Mossberg 590s we used it in, About 8" or so at 10 yards.

looks like the stuff we had in our shottys. dont think there was anything special about it, it shoots locks off doors well though

The stuff I got is buffered...Patterns well for the price but I
think it might be over priced...I mean if its
surplus should it be cheeper?

It's the same as the Winchester Super X 00 Buck you get at Walmart only with nifty subdued colors. Soft lead pellets, wads only w/o a shot cup. Nothing special. For blasting ammo, I'd buy whichever was cheapest.

I never seen the OD military buckshot but I have seen Winchester buckshot that is VERY similar to the stuff you buy at Wal-Mart. Here's a few pics to shot what we use and what you can buy at Wally World:

It works well enough but it's not going to have the tight Federal Flight Control patterns if that's what you're looking for. Like everything else, you have to pattern it in your own shotgun to see if it works for your particular gun.
