so now that i'm just about broke , whats a good cheap way of temporarily mounting this light to the 18.5 barrel on my 870 without damaging either?

Problem with the Olight M20 Warrior Premium

Hi,

I have just received my Olight M20 Warrior Premium and I'm already getting problems with it.

The unit was working fine. I opened it to try to figure out how to replace the reflector with the optional one and now the behavior of the light level settings is more than strange and bottom line, it does no longer work.

I'm a bit ****** off at the unit to be honest.

Firstly, they don't give any clue in the manual on how to properly change the reflector, even though they mention it as an accessory.

Secondly, although I read plenty of posts saying how rugged and wonderfull the unit is, I can't believe that just taking it carefully apart would make it useless.

Help please!

Thanks

to remove the reflector, you unscrew the end ring containing the lens and then you unscrew the reflector. it has threads on the small end of the reflector that screw around the base where the LED is mounted.

i would imagine that if you tried to pull the reflector straight out, you could damage the circuit board under the LED.

i have had no problems with mine yet. i've even dropped it a few times onto the concrete floor at work.

well mine started flickering on/off randomly. eventually it got to the point where it would only sometimes work pointed straight up or with the button pushed in.

(i use it everyday at work, it gets dropped, wet, oily, and greasy everyday.)

i just took it apart, turned out the on/off switch had unscrewed itself a little bit and was loose. (which from hindsight makes perfect sense) tightened it up and now i can't get it to flicker at all. works perfectly.

my only complaint about this light is your suppose to use special tools to take it apart, but i was able to unscrew the rings with a flat screw driver and a pair of small scissors.
