I would just like to know more about a shot gun my father gave me. We were cleaning out our old house and he found it. He thought he losted years ago. my father used it when he was just a child born in 1923. He told me he usd it when he was about 6 or so. All he remeberd is that his Father bought it at a local hardware store,

The maker of the gun says Centeal arms Co.
ST. Louis.

Thats all the marks i could find. the left barrels says 410gauge. Under the recvier on top has a (I) with a circule . i could not find a serial number on it unless i am not looking hard enought.

If you mean Central Arms Co it was made by Cresent Fire Arms Co for Shapleigh Hardware Co of St. Louis, MO from 1904 - 1930. The sidelocks were built by Cresent Firearms and the boxlock models by Stevens Arms. (Stevens eventually acquired Cresent during the Great Depression).
