Old SS Kresge shotgun

I have an old shotgun my dad gave me to restore. The inside of the barrel looks ok. The outside has a lot of rust and grime. The stock has places were it looks like it was stored wet and collected mold.

The barrel says:
S.S. Kresge CO. Troy Mich. 48084
410 Gauge - 3 IN - Full
Made in Brazil
By Companhia Bracileira De Cartuchos
S. Andre - EST. S.Paulo
712662 MOD 151

Anyone know anything about these guns?

I'll post some pics of the condition here in a bit.

If I'm not mistaken...and please correct me if I am, I seem to remember that brand being sold through K-mart. They were basically a problem shotgun and parts can be pretty hard to come by.

Not sure but could be. My grandfather bought it for my dad in the 70's or 80's. Grandparents didn't have much for money so I'm sure it was cheap and Kmart was the big store in the area back then.

Here are some pictures. If you guys have any advice on restoration Id appreciate it.

Companhia Bracileira De Cartuchos aka CBC... Magtech.

Fortunately, Numrich has many of the parts for these if you need them. Look under CBC Model 151.

A Birchwood Casey Stock refinish kit appears to be in order.

SS Kresge was the forerunner of what became KMart; one of the five and dime stores

ebastian Spering Kresge (July 31, 1867 – October 18, 1966), was an American businessman and was the founder of the S. S. Kresge Company, one of the 20th century's largest retail organizations. The company was renamed the Kmart Corporation in 1977, and evolved into today's Sears Holdings Corporation, parent of Kmart and Sears.

I make it a nice old wallhanger - which it is with family stories to tell.
