Old Shotgun

Old Loader, If people are going to keep asking you these questions you need to get the Standard Catalog of Firearms. Amaze them with your knowledge. Your shotgun is a trade name shotgun made for H&D Folsom for Garnet Carter Company of Chatttanooga Tn. H&D Folsom were the kings of trade name shotguns. Take off the forearm, if there is a oval with ELG with in it, then it was made in Belgium, no markings then the usually suspect is Crescent Arms Co. Good chance it was made in the 30s or 40s. These shotguns were made with mild steel, I value my limbs too much to shoot them at all. If it is to be shot then have it checked out by a good gunsmith and then use only mild loads, other wise you friend may pick up a colorful nicknames like " old one eye" or " old two fingers". Hope that helps.
