Old Iver Johnson .38 - Worth Anything?

My buddy has an old Iver Johnson .38, nickel plated, made late 40's or early 50's. Is it worth anything? Sam

In nickel plated, $150 sounds about fair for both parties. DOuble check the chamberings though. I think those are chambered for 38S&W short rather than 38spl. 38S&W short costs about double from what I have seen.

PF,

No such critter as a .38 S&W short. It's .38 S&W, or .38 Short Colt.

That bit of pedantry out of the way, I don't think Iver Johnson ever made a handgun chambered for .38 Spl.

Mike, Iver Johnson produced the Cadet from 1955-1984, the Rookie from 1975-1984 and the American Bulldog from 1974-1976 which where all chambered in .38 Special.
