Old elg revolver 44

I have this old elg and i dont have idea in whitch period it is..or somthing else if evereyone knows somthing....

Looks like a copy of the Webley "bull dog" ELG is a Belgin proof mark.

It looks like something I would shoot modern smokeless ammo in, only if I wanted a colorful nickname, such as "Three finger Ron" " or Old one eye RJ " It is a old Belgium Gun, probably dates to the 1920;s or even earlier. These were made by the boat load for export to Europe and the US. they sold for very little,primarily through catalog sales ( 2 to 3 dollars ). Value wold not be high, 100 to 150 as a curiosity or to to a collector who wants to fill a hole in his collection.

What are you folks seeing in that picture? I see part of an engraved revolver, then what looks like a Rorschach inkblot test. Is this some kind of new artistic way of depicting guns?

The idea here is that the gun is whatever you see. There is no right answer.

When I photograph a gun I tend to sit it away from things I don't want in the picture beforehand.
