Old Colt parts

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get original parts for a Colt 1860 Army. I have one here that needs basically all new internals, main spring, hammer, hand, trigger, sear & bolt spring, bolt it's also missing a couple of screws so I'd like to replace all the screws with correct ones. Main spring is snapped in it and the rest of the parts are so worn the edges are rounded off. I would like to make this revolver functional again even if it's not shootable since it belonged to my grandfather. I have considered having it professionally restored to make it shootable, but I'm afraid that's just not in my budget as it really is a basket case right now. I looked for parts for it many years ago but all I could find were Italian made parts, I found a critical parts kit which had all the parts required but were made in Italy. I really would like original Colt parts for it. Any thoughts on where to look?

Tried Numrich?
Always a gamble that the parts you get may be worse than the parts you have, but worth a try.

Try S&S Firearms. Here's a link to their catalogue which you can download.

Realistically, if it is springs and screws that need replacing, you will most likely be ending up with reproduction parts. Look at it this way: Minor parts would have been replaced over the life of the gun with contemporary, available items, even homemade in some cases. Your using repro parts is no different.

Whatever Colt parts you get from Numrich, if they have the stuff, will most likely be second or third generation anyway.

If you insist on original parts, try searching eBay until you get everything you need.

Yeah actually Numrich is local for me so that was the first place I looked. They're the ones that had the critical parts kit. Their inventory changes frequently though so I'm due to check with them again. I will check out S&S too, thanks for the help guys.

A possible source for original parts is Dixie Gun Works.

They have lots of original black powder era parts. However, unless you're VERY specific about it, you'll almost certainly get replica parts from any source.
Other than the nicer finish, there's usually no way to determine whether small parts are original or replica.

I suppose I couldn't hurt the value of the gun (since it's a non functional basket case right now) by using repro parts at this point since it's completely non functional. Especially if I keep the original parts. Numrich still lists the critical parts kit which is all the parts I need minus the replacement screws for $47.50. I would prefer original colt parts, but they seem almost impossible to come by so you guys may have talked me into the repro parts. I appreciate the help.
