Hi Guys...I've got a sweet little Charter .38 spl...the "off duty" model. Mid-70's vintage. I like it alot and it shoots/works just fine. I'm curious though as to the disassembly of the ejector ass'y? Near as I can tell the large 'boss' section of shaft is pinned to the rod behind the 'star'...is this right? I'm not planning on taking it apart or anything, just like to know how to should the need ever arise. Appreciate hearing from anyone who's got some experience with these pieces.

Thanks,

C.

There is a small pin holding the star and a bushing that surrounds the central shaft. I have had mine apart one and ended up buying a new bushing as it is under considerable pressure from the spring beneath it. The pin is actually just through the bushing and the central shaft. the hole in the outer shaft is just to access it. Here is a link to a schematic at Numrich Gun parts, that shows how it goes together.
