somebody left some cardboard boxes of .556 ammo for me,i have never seen these before,it says PMC in bold letters and .556 mm ball m193 republic of korea, they appear to be really old , a lot of the bullets have green corrosion on them, does anyone have any info on these, maybe as to a time frame , or era

It's South Korean make, post-Vietnam era ammo. They adopted the M16 later than we did. Should be a lot number with date somewhere on the box.

Maybe a collector might want a single round, or, like me, a complete box with a label, all in nice condition would be something for a collector, but any staining or torn flaps, no value.

I'd just clean it up with a fine steel wool and shoot it. Keep the brass or give it away.
