Okay, now I'm really mad.

I rather not cut and paste this. Seeing it once was enough. This should outrage all taxpayers.

State and federal dollars fund these seminars, and the organization that promotes them is nationwide. This is happening to some extent in schools all across the country.

Boy, I don't know if this belongs in the Firing Line forum, but this "seminar" is totally inappropriate in any school funded with taxpayer dollars.
I'm not homophobic...what adults do in privacy is their business...but I'll be damned if I want my tax dollars spent on this crap!

Ezeckial and all TFL'rs:

Let me clarify prior to any more responses - I posted this because I am upset about the use of tax money on seminars of this type regardless the "orientation" of the presenters or which acts are promoted or described. My personal views are not part of this post.

This subject matter is just too graphic for a 14 year old. This isn't education, this is just plain disgusting and it does not belong in our schools.

This is a political forum. Other non-gun political topics are sometimes presented here. Naturally, I would respect the decision of the moderators of this forum if they closed this thread.

I don't want to start a flame war, I just want people to know what is going on, because this is a prime example of incrementalism and it's a waste of tax money.

And they deny that they're not pediphiles!

That was some of the sickest load of bullcrap I've heard/read in a long time!

How dare they! And the use of tax dollars in the furthering of their perverted ajenda is nothing short of criminal.

If this were widely know in state of MA the Governor would be recalled.

I am NOT Homophobic! But this sounds like recruitment pure and simple. These people, and I use the term people advisedly, are criminals! Fisting!!! THAT'S SICK! They lock people up for distribution of this kind of thing to minors when it's in magazine form. I've seen teachers fired for prescribing certain books as reading assignments but these "people" can describe and encourage divient sex with inpunity!

What else can you expect from a state that blindly elects or re-elects anyone with or attached to the Kennedy name and has an Atorney general that is allowed to operate out of control. The good citizens or should I now say subjects of the Commenwealth of MA better get their heads out of the sand and do it soon!

That is sick and if a homosexual supports he/she/it is sick also. This PC crap has gone too far, when I was in school they didn't teach me about sex like that( if you can call it that ) with wemon so it ain't no better teaching it w/ men, if you can call them that. I personally am tired of these freaking homosexuals trying to push their stinking agenda down our throats. They may not all be like this but a damn good part of them are. This is wrong & if a homosexual is offended because we dare to say it is,well too bad. If one of them tried to teach my kids this I'm afraid I'd relieve him of his teeth.

Free speech works both ways, my right to say this is wrong is greater then their right to show pornography to children & have me scared into not saying anything. I'm not a homophobe, they don't scare me at all. /rant

Look people, the subjects of that state elect people like Barney Frank and Ted Kennedy over and over again, so they're just getting the government they so desperately wanted. I don't feel sorry for them at all. I do, however, feel bad for the kids subjected to this garbage. My apologies to any Mass. member of TFL reading. I sympathize. Why don't you come to Texas? We can use some more good folks like y'all. The sooner the People's Repulic of Massachusetts slides down into the Atlantic in a cloud of its own filth, the better. Now where's that pukey smiley?

If there's only one source for this report, I wouldn't get all worked up about it. I'm going to try to get in touch with the Governor’s Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth to see what they say about the article. I doubt if they read Massachusetts News. ;)

WARNING: we no longer exist in a free society. You better off to rail about the lost of gun rights. We are no too far off from seeing individuals do prison time for any rhetoric directed against a protected group unless the group is Christ-centered.

That $7K per year per child for Private Grade School is worth it.

Further affirmation that there is something seriously wrong in this country.

That was disgusting and I will NOT send my kids to these Govt. Mandated Propaganda Camps.

Gorthaur,

This story has also been covered on the radio. I'm not sure how much national coverage we'll get, because we know how Bill would feel about that.

Longshot, can you go to Scooter's post tonight "What do you think the problem is" and add the link you posted then state "Here's what's wrong. Too many consolidated minority "edge" groups tearing down the fabric of our society. We had a similiar battle in one of our schools about a year ago but it ended so fast it they didn't have time to catch the plane. See here in the bible belt, the family is still strong! Thanks for your post!

nralife, I went to the Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth site, but most of the links just point to someone's email. I figured I would try to contact them Monday.

Some of the details of the article don't ring true. For instance
quote:
The Sidney Borum Community Health Center table was giving out a cassette sized "pocket sex" kit, which included two condoms, two antiseptic "moist" towelettes, and six bandages, which were for "when the sex got really rough" according to the high school aged volunteer behind the desk.[/quote]I've never heard of bandages being in a safer sex kit.

Gorthaur,

This was also on the radio (Ian Punnit-Seattle).

Maybe the band-aids are really for cuts that exist BEFORE sex, to minimize spread of disease, just a theory. AIDS is a blood-borne disease.

Teachers from other states were calling in complaining about similar seminars in their home states. I'm pretty this is not a hoax. The person who made the recording was also interviewed on the air.

Unconditional outrage is the only appropriate response to this.

Spreading awareness of homosexuality is something I can understand. Having a volunteer organization made up of adults and students that will answer any questions students who may be wondering about their sexual orientation is something I support too. But THIS is over the line. Some of the comments made by the speakers could get a teacher fired for sexual harassment. Just because someone is a minority does not mean that they should be able to get special priveliges. That only ends up causing more seperation instead of sealing it.

Simon Yu,
These people are psychopaths. Special consideration, up to and including "intergenerational intimacy," i.e., sex with young children, is what they're all about.
They are entitled to everything, and the moment we express concern about their lack of impulse control we are the oppressors.
No longer are we discussing the tax-paying decent sort who, despite having some sexual disorientation, does not see his or her sexual behavior the beginning and end of identity.
We are talking about marauding predators who
are so sick and so shallow that their perversion is the only thing holding them together. Withdraw that and there's nothing left to support the ego, hence relentlessly flagrant and outrageous behavior to further their sense of victimhood.
Everyone must respect them because they are homosexual, thus, victims, thus, entitled to do whatever they want at anyone else's expense-- including children, and BTW, if we object, we're homophobic.

Again, we're no longer talking about eccentric behavior between otherwise responsible, consenting adults.
We are talking about people who are so introverted into their own "sexual identity" that there's very little else there.

It's all part of the progressively insane nature of Western society. Without them or their allies, the Democratic Party would grind to a halt.

I grew up in Iowa before moving to Texas in the mid 1980s. I recently read an article stating that the governor of Iowa (Tom Vilsack) was offering scholarships for gay high school seniors who were willing to come out of the closet.

I have had several homosexual friends whom I respect greatly, however, I thought that Governor Vilsack was wrong to offer these type of scholarships.
