Okay I'm terrible sometimes about impulse buying

I was at a gun show today saw a little military trainer in 5.4mm or .22 lr as we in America call it. It needs a safety as that part is missing, but it's a cool little CRF with actual claw extractor. Near as I can tell it's a GECO 1933 like this one I found a picture of online.

Aw man,,,

I love those military trainers,,,
I don't think I would buy a fixer-upper,,,
But if you can find the part it was a great purchase.

Color me envious. :o

For the price I got it for out the door, you probably wouldn't have walked away. It's a safety on a single shot rifle, so I probably wouldn't use it ever anyway unless I was teaching with it. Now if it shoots well and my daughter does small bore in 4H next year I might have a safety made for it if I can't find one. I'd eventually like to restock it as well but that isn't a priority at all.

Here are the pictures I was able to take last night with my cell.

Here are all the markings it has, sorry best I could do with my cell.

It has two locking lugs in the rear, this is a picture of the second lug, the other is the bolt handle.

Picture fo the claw extractor, cute little bugger.

The whole thing with the sporterized stock. The ramp on the rear sight is marked from 25-200 and I'm guessing that is in meters.

Numrich should have parts.

No way is Numrich going to have parts for this one.

You might have better luck on eBay.

It also appears that your gun was originally issued as a full military-style trainer, not a "sporter." The giveaways are the filled in disc in the butt, and military style front sight. That gun was originally made to look like a 98k Mauser.

I'd bet the farm what you have is a Mauser (style?) military training rifle...and a damned cool one too! If the price was right on that one I wouldn't have let it go by either.
