My son got me a Chronograph for Christmas. So this morning I have checked everything I can without disturbing too many neighbors. (I live sort of quasi- rural).

Blowgun = 120 fps - 150 fps depending on how hard I can blow

Crosman CO2 pistol = 490 - 420 fps

Marlin Viper .22 = 1175 - 1150

Can't wait to check my reloads..... but alas not today.

I've got 50rds starting at minimum I have 10 then 10 each adding 20% up to maximum.

I'm really curious to see the differences.

Anyway... just thought I'd gloat a little.

Lucky you haveing such a considerate son. A chrony can be a great learning tool or just a toy depending on how you use it. One of the most important items to have in you kit is a note book and pen (or pencil) to record your results. In addition to the date you must include the weather conditions, wind speed and direction and the time of day. As you progress in your education you will see the point of all the records.
Record the load data and assign a lot number to the group and record that information on the target you shot with that load. It gets somewhat tedious but when you get home and review the day's results you will know exactly what took place.
Enjoy your new educational tool.
