OK, now what do I do?

I just changed the grip screws in my SIG 228 from the factory screws to Hogue Hex head screws. Went great, except........

The last one that I tightened down broke off. Got to imagine it was defective, as I didn't tighten it any more than the others I changed in the past. Anyway, now I have a perfectly flush screw in the hole with nothing to grab a hold of.

How do I get it out? I can take the grip off no problem, as there is no screw head to keep it from coming off. Just haven't come up with a way to get the rest of it out of the hole yet.

OK, I think I fixed it about the only way it could be done.

I found the smallest drill bit I had, 1/16", and drilled into it at a very slow rpm. It turned in the threads of the gun's hole and fell into the magazine well. Seemed safe enough, as long as the drill bit never touched the threads of the gun's hole. Anyway, it's out and the gun isn't damaged.
