Ok. I picked up a Taurus PT92 AFS now....

Mine has run great since 1989 or so. I keep it lightly lubed and have had zero problems. In my experience service pistols are not likely to be fussy.

Read the manual as in this link to your manual. Pay attention to the Maintenence section around page 27. Light grease on the slide where we have metal on metal friction. Light oil on the springs. Note that "light" means light and not drowning the gun in oil. Oil besides being a lubricant attracts dirt and grit as well as burned powder. I suggest you download and keep the manual at hand.

Good ole internet.
:)

In these days of liability and everybody suing someone the gun manufacturers like to make sure that the owner's manuals for their products are readily available.

Something else comes to mind. Most used guns do not include an owner's manual yet when every gun leaves a factory it has a manual. Does anyone ever wonder where all the missing manuals are? I mean are they all in some sort of black hole somewhere? Millions and millions of small books, likely enough paper that an entire forest was defoliated.

I'd use BreakFree CLP.

Can't go wrong with that or grease. I don't know much about Militec, but it's supposed to be a good dry lube for dry climates with dirt and grit.

I have a 1987 PT99AF that I got new in 87. Have only used hoppe's #9 and have never had an issue.

Hoppe's promotes Hoppe's #9 as a bore cleaner, solvent and rust-remover, but makes no claims about its effectiveness as a rust-preventer or lubricant. Hoppe's offers other products for those duties.
