Read the manual as in this link to your manual. Pay attention to the Maintenence section around page 27. Light grease on the slide where we have metal on metal friction. Light oil on the springs. Note that "light" means light and not drowning the gun in oil. Oil besides being a lubricant attracts dirt and grit as well as burned powder. I suggest you download and keep the manual at hand.
In these days of liability and everybody suing someone the gun manufacturers like to make sure that the owner's manuals for their products are readily available.
Something else comes to mind. Most used guns do not include an owner's manual yet when every gun leaves a factory it has a manual. Does anyone ever wonder where all the missing manuals are? I mean are they all in some sort of black hole somewhere? Millions and millions of small books, likely enough paper that an entire forest was defoliated.
