Ok, I am depressed.

I am very depressed. No one except a few that have already responded on the EOSM website have responded back to me regarding the site. Except for Terri's son who emailed me wanting me to send him a password. I don't get it. Is everyone afraid of trying the website out? Does everyone not want to participate? What's the deal?? I mean, I guess no one wants to get on it, because I have seen a lot of people on the two other sites since I posted the threads on here and at TFL. So please let me know what you'll want to do. If you don't want to participate, just tell me. I wont email you about it again. I just thought it would be a nice site.
So, if you are interested, email me or respond here. Please I want to know.

Christina, I answerred on the other thread but I'll answer here to.......'cause I don't wanna see you depressed. ;)
I had actually missed the thread you posted here the first time. When I read what some of the others were talking about I asked Terri. She sent me a link to the site I found in my Email. (Funny how two people live in the same house and still communicate via Email. :) ) I visited the site but was unable to get in since I had no password. When I mentioned it to Terri she told me I was registered there. This was news to me since I had not gotten a password.
If you need a list fo the Email addresses of those that attended let me know and I will get it to you.
In the interest of saving band width here on TFL Emails might be better. By leaving the post up here it will give anyone not on the mailing list the chance to repsond here and get a user name and password so they to can see what the meet was about.

Okay, I haven't a clue what this thread is about, but I have a question for Ms. Whittington, if I may?

You listed "Guns, Parrotts" in the "Interests" section of your profile (that I looked at to see if I would derive some kenning from it), and I'm sort of keen to know if your interest lies with things of the Psittaciformes zygodactyl persuasion, or with 1860's siege artillery (Parrott rifles and shells)? Or both (a witty double entendre)?

hmmm, I know nothing of this, so I guess I'm among the guilty who have not signed up....

Ok, this is for the people that attended the EOSM meet. Believe me they know who they are. But, it may become possible for everyone later on. Anyway, those who attended, please respond.

Sorry, Christina, I just have too many places to visit as it is. I already spend more time online than is probably healthy.

Christina,
Don't be depressed! I'm like Don, too many places already. And, when I got home from EOSM I had to hit the ground running. I had to get school started for Blueyepup and get things ready for the Indy 1500 this weekend. We've also had 2 family matters come up since returning home. So basically ... I'm swamped! :( I promise to visit as soon as I can.

I take it these sites are not the right ones. Or maybe you all run track and work computer security on unix servers, while practice a little ketoacidosis treatment on the side? :)

Fluids
Administer a 0.5-N electrolyte solution if the EOSM* is >=320 mOsm per kg at a rate of 1,500 mL per hour (15 to 30 mL per kg per hour) for the first hour, 1,000 mL per hour for the second and third hours, and 500 to 750 mL per hour for the fourth hour.
When the Eosm is <320 mOsm per kg, the crystalloid fluid prescription should be altered to a l-N concentration (isotonic solution).
If the patient is hypotensive (early in treatment), administer 2,000 mL per hour of an electrolyte solution, with the osmolarity dependent on the Eosm, as above.

Ok, Maybe I am getting to anxious over nothing. I just hope everyone will be able to participate when possible and be able to post good pics and chat a lot. I understand that life can get a little hectic. Mine is too. Hope to see all of you from the meet soon.
