Ohio CCW question: Open carry

Since Ohio passed its CCW law, I've heard a few guys, one being a small community cop who I ran into at a gun store, state that since this law went into effect, that open carry is now illegal for license holders. Does that mean if I'm at at a store and I reach into my pocket for my wallet and my side arm is exposed, that that is somehow illegal???

Thanks for the clarity.

The Ohio Supreme Court recently confimed the right of Ohioans to carry openly. Just because you get permission from The State to carry concealed, doesn't mean you give up the right to carry openly.

Some local laws contradict this right. These laws are unconstitutional but remain largely unchallenged.

YMMV and IANAL, etc. :)
