Ohaus CS200 Digital Scale

Anyone used this scale on their reloading bench? I have a Lyman beam scale and a couple of inexpensive digitals already.

I stumbled across the Ohaus for a reasonable price and ordered it. Curious if anyone can verify its suitability for the reloading bench.

It is a nice scale.

One thing to think about is that the units of measure are: grams, Ounces, and Newtons.

If you plan to utilize for handloading purposes, you will have to convert each and every measurement.

0.1 gram = 1.543236 grains (this is the lowest resolution for the CS200) and

1 gram = 15.43236 grains.

It depends on the use and the user if he/she can accept the lowest resolution at a little more than 1.5 grains.

Ohaus manufactures most of the beam scales including your Lyman.

I have the cs2000 which has a 1g readability, and, while it's a good, accurate scale, even having the extra resolution of the sc200, I would advise against getting a scale that, first of all, doesn't have grains as a unit, and second of all, has poor resolution. Although it may be a decent way to sort brass, that's why I borrowed the cs2000, but it didn't help much for that either... Most of my brass is within a gram anyway
