Details are fairly murky at this point; but he was shot inside a house, multiple gunshots, his roommates are not suspects at this time and police don't believe the attack was random.

Okay, so he was killed at home, but not in his home and no indication of forced entry or the roommates being involved.

So the guy is a gun advocate and the cops don't think this is random. Okay, two interesting bits of info, but they may not be related in any way. Many murders are not random.

There is an update from the Columbus Dispatch story saying police removed drugs from the house.

This morning, police confirmed to NBC4 the motive behind the shooting was drug related. Police also say they recovered guns at the house.

Drugs and guns are not a good combination. Unfortunately college is a place where many people experiment with drugs.

"...Drugs and guns are not a good combination..." Nope. And nearly always when there's a big drug bust up here there are illegally possessed firearms confiscated too. Seems the criminals ignore all the laws. Only the law abiding gun owners are persecuted though.

Well, when I posted previously that I would wait for more information, I was being a good boy and not jumping to the conclusion that drugs were involved, but my initial suspicion was that it was a drug deal gone bad.

Not exactly who we want as the poster boy for legal campus carry ...
