OH/AZ Reciprocity . . . Carrying 24/7

Ohio and Arizona signed a Reciprocity Agreement many years back and it came to our attention that the way it was worded Ohio would only honor the Arizona Resident permit. No one in either office was sure how that wording got in the agreement. Ohio didn’t seem to care about it but would tell people that was the law as agreed to. Ohio would not put on their website that they would only honor the Arizona Resident Permit so it really didn’t matter to them but that was the agreement. Ohio and Arizona have signed a new agreement and have removed that reference so Ohio will now honor any permit/license issued by the state of Arizona.

On a side note I got a lot of response when I mentioned what could happen to a firearm in extreme cold weather and to be aware of that. I have been reading a lot about hiding firearms around the house if needed. Locked boxes or hidden drawers or even furniture made to hide a firearm in. In the case of a home invasion you need your firearm “Right Now!” You may not have time to get to it when the SHTF! I highly recommend if possible for you to keep your firearm on you. It is available in an instant at all times. It is secure so no unauthorized person can access it without your knowledge. You won’t leave the house forgetting to put it on or in your pocket. Carrying a firearm all the time at home can be a hassle for some but with time you will feel naked without it. At least that is the way it has worked for me. There are hundreds if not thousands of books written on how to carry a firearm. Read up on it. Buy quality belts and holsters and for most the firearm will blend right in and you will not notice it until you think about it. Practice drawing and practice shooting at every opportunity.

Again at least that is the way it has worked for me. I live in the country and smoke. Every time I go out to light up, which is more often than I like to admit, I draw my firearm and bring it up and align the sites on a tree or other object in my yard. There are no houses around and I live in a hollow in West Virginia and have great backstops. It helps keep me sharp. I actually have a Plate Rack, Steel Hostage Target and Man On Man Steel Swingers, plus some Slider Triple Droppers in my back yard. I get to practice any time I wish. A little self promotion below. I don’t make any money from them. I sold MGM the rights to it.
