Here is my offhand rifle and light bench (under 14 lbs) rifle. I built it in 1976.
Have shot three perfect scores of 50 with it in compentition. Two at 50 yds
and one at 100 yds. Barrel is 32 inches 1-60 twist. 45 cal. H&H barrel. I shoot
a .454 dia round ball .022 thick Teflon coated patch and 90 grs Goex FF.
Got bench matches to shoot this weekend. At least I can sit down.

This is a small part of the National range at Friendship Indiana. The faurtest
out here is 500 yds. The little black things are steel knock down targets.
They are shot with pistol also. I will be there 3rd week of June for a week of
shooting. Come join us.

Sharing ammo - Rifle balls with Revolver Balls

Now there's a rifle one could share ammo between an 1858 New Army Remington revolver and the rifle, yeah?

Nice rifle.

I think that I've fallen in love with your range. We have dust and sagebrush. What I wouldn't do for grass and trees...

That's the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA) range at Friendship, IN. A very worthwhile organization to belong to if you're at all interested in black powder/muzzleloader hunting and shooting. Everybody on this forum should be a member.

Yes, I wipe between shots to keep the barrel uniform. I use a patch damp
