Off Topic: Does anyone here Play Warhammer 40K

Just wondered if anyone here played this Tabletop War Game. If so where at, What armies, what edition? Come on guys I can't be the only one.

Long live second edition Down with The childish Third edition rules. :)
 
Good place to interject my random non-gun question: Anyone played Age of Empires II - Age of Kings? Any different or better than I?
 
I got 2 brothers that are into that.
I've looked at it and read a couple books...
Takes CHESS to a whole new level thats for sure!

The have like COMPLETE Eldar and Chaos armies... fully painted and modeled and all that - they got like THOUSANDS of little scary guys... most of them Modified...

I'ld rather play PC games and same the money to put into guns.

BTW: My game of the week now is HOMEWORLD and I recomend it HIGHLY... One of the Freshest games in the last 4 years. Oh - and its addictive like crack. So be careful.
 
I play some warhammer, getting too complicated though. I have been co-developing a game called Charlie Foxtrot based on Spec Warfare, e-mail me if you'd like to see the rules!

I like the Persians and those war elephants... but my blood line dictates the use of the Celts. :D

The Chinese fast fire crosbow is super sweet and so are the Goth(?) axe throwers...
But all are meat for that little rock lanching catapult - NASTY. Even to friendlies!
 
Warhammer's a great RPG game. My favorite character was the Witchhunter. He came out like a demented Ernest Angley.
BTW, they also publish "Cry Havoc!" and excellent medieval tactical level wargame.

Local game store has Warhammer 40K and the midieval version (Don't remember what that's called.) tournaments every saturday. I've thought about it, but it's going to have to wait until the weather turns bad. That's my range day.

Have the original Rouge Trader Rules but never bit the bullet an bought mini's
have a lot of friends that play. I was on the edge but Games Workshop droped the Squats which I was propably going to use.

Besides Between Firearms and SFB and computers I can't afford another hobby ;)
