My version of Windows 98 didn't come with a resume program. I need a little better program than that anyway (I think). Where can I go to download one at? :) Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe

www.download.com plenty of freeware and trial versions. It's funny in april everyone downloads turbotax's trial version. Its free for 30 days, if you like it purchase it. If not don't buy it. Let's just say for some reason people don't like it after april 15th. Funny though they seem to regain their liking of it the next year in april too.

It is in windows 98. I believe you will find it in microsoft works as several templates. If you cant figure it out re-post and I'll guide you through it.

Thanks guys! Any recommendations for certain programs?

Siggy, my setup doesn't have Microsoft works. I don't think that it always comes with Windows 98.

Do you have a word processor at all? I believe that almost all word processors have some sort of resume template in them somewhere. On the off chance that you might want to buy one, WinWay in excellent!
Be careful tough, because some resume software sucks. Resume formatting is a fine science today (take it from me; I do it for a living.) and an obsolete or ill-conceived format is the kiss of death.

Yea, I have a Lotus program for word processing, but I don't see a resume template. It's a shame that I can build a complete webpage using HTML, but I don't know beans about word processors. LOL

(I wrote the last posts under my husband's user name; now this is me) Don't jump to conclusions; you certainly could master that word processor in no time. I do web stuff in FrontPage because HTML fries my brain cells.
A word of caution: even the best resume template or software needs a bit of tweaking to create a really successful resume.
Since I do this professionally, is there some way I could help you? If you e-mail me every last detail of your work history and training/education I could do something. (I don't include every painful detail, but I need them.)dpiper@pop.det.state.vt.us.
