Oddly Enough... .50 BMG Pistol

The arms race for the most biggest, baddest and most rediculous handgun never seems to end. From our German friends comes this .50 BMG "pistol". It's a bolt action, 24 inches long, weighs 16lb, and has 2 grips. But it's a uh, pistol. :D

Run, don't walk, to your nearest Waffentechnik Suhl dealer to order one of these beauties today.

Created no doubt by a skilled orthopedic surgeon with room to increase his practice. Specializes in shoulder afflictions probably. ;)

A couple of more too??? I kind of like that 2nd, Buck Rogers style one.

But with .50 as the maximum caliber for conventional civilian distribution, these guys may not be able to one-up things anymore... I guess they'll need to make them smaller and lighter next - hmmm, how about a .50BMG lightweight snubnose?

Wouldn't the forward handgrip make it an "assault weapon"?

I don't see them letting that one be imported any time soon.

Without those HUGE, goofy-looking Buck Rogers compensators [no pun intended ;)] those things would be impossible to shoot! I recoil at the thought of shooting one

Does that Waffentechnik "gun" have a name? Wie heißen sie?

I want one too. I wonder if my health insurance would cover any wrist damage that might occur from shooting it.

This is in the same ridiculous category as the Derringer chambered for .45-70.
The fellow who shot it showed me the damage done to his hands -- not good.

I just hope that this isn't used as an excuse to ban cheap .50 cal AP ammo.
That was my first thought too. The hand grip was second. Third was, I have just the range in mind where I want to shoot it and exactly who I can annoy with it while doing so. :D

Just what Super Dave needs for CCW considering all his questions about bullets penetrating car doors, windshields, plywood, etc! :D:D:D

Maybe in a couple states. But more importantly, it is probably an Any Other Weapon under Federal NFA law because of the forward grip.
