I was just looking at the McCann 1913 rail for the army/FBI guns thinking I wanted to try something but the $400+ price just about killed me! 
So I'm here with this question/idea:
I'd like to lay hands on a extended scope rail (that goes to the forend like the McCann) and mount those flip-up sights for the AR-15 and mount a pistol scope somewhere in the middle of it,yes if this works the gun will prob be a Rem 700 in .223
lifting my head up to use the iron sights is ok,it's a .223 afterall
Just want "short to med range .223 with sights" for cheap I have a Ruger M77 MkII but like the scope on it sooooo new gun time! (well after I get a sword I want made)
