Octagonal Rossi R92 : scope mountable?

So, the round barrelled r92's all have the ability to forward mount a scope, scout-style, with an adapter from Rossi.

What I haven't been able to find any info about : can you do this with the octagonal barreled versions? Like these guys

I would really love to get the octagonal version, but I also have my heart set on a forward mounted scope. Any experts out there who can help?

Maybe I'm not getting the point, but any gunsmith can drill and tap holes to mount a scope in pretty much any barrel profile, so putting a generic set of flat top mounts and rings on the thing won't be any sort of chore.

No, unless the thing is already drilled and tapped, you can't do it yourself. Unless you can find flat topped mounts, ditto.

A smith can mill off a round bottomed mount and add it on.

Right, I should have been clearer. The round barrel r92's already have holes available. It wasn't clear to me whether to octagonals do as well. I'd be willing to have a gunsmith do it, but I'd prefer not to have to.
