Try not to think of this series of videos as propaganda from the "Religious Right"...

I am NOT a religious zealot...
The people who sent this to me are NOT particularly religious...
and the content of the videos is NOT religious...

Give it an objective consideration... with at least as much credibility as your local TV news...

It is a series of FREE videos that will show you the current world events in a different light... a totally new perspective which the news-source media, for some reason, believes you cannot handle and would rather you did not know...

If you think the Radical Muslims have not hi-jacked control of the Islamic World...
Remember other dictatorial types who have succeeded in hi-jacking various governments all over the world and throughout out history...

Don't pick over it... just listen and observe, and perhaps it will shed some light on why the United States has attacked Afghanistan and Iraq... and on why I believe the "moderate" world is in a state of denial...

You have to put a (.) after the www in the address. I did, and got as far as the following before I exited the site.

"Holy WAR has been Declared
This is a call to Christian Prayer Warriors
Will You Answer?"

John - Perhaps you should have read a little further until you found this:
"Obsession" is one of the most powerful, expertly crafted and undeniably important films I’ve seen this year. This courageous, utterly gripping expose’ deserves the attention of every American — and merits serious consideration for the Academy Award for Best Feature Length Documentary."

— Michael Medved Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Film Critic, "Eye on Entertainment"

I watched the entire first segment - about eight and a half minutes - there is no Christian proselytizing in the video. I'll watch a few more. Thanks for the link, Pointer.

I asked you to be OBJECTIVE...which means to set aside your "feelings"
and observe the videos with an OPEN mind.

I bought the cd and have viewed both the 23 minute version and the full 60 minute version. The documentary lets radical islam speak for itself in its own words. There is no christian proselytizing in the documentary, if that is your concern. We here in the west have a hard time envisioning someone totally motivate by religion. Unless we understand the west is faced with a foe motive by a religious ideology we will never be able successfully counter it. "Obsession" is a kick in the gut to anyone who rejects religious motivation of the radical islamist.

...one of these days the word 'radical' may get dropped and then only one word will be left...
That was suttle, and very astute... ;)

It has a whole world of implications... :)

I wonder how many of our TFL readers will "get it"?

"John - Perhaps you should have read a little further"

Maybe, but without a lead-in in the original post it looked like spam even after I figured out why the link was dead.

Okay, I did look. There's nothing new there that I haven't read elsewhere - I've read a great deal in the past 50 years. Or heard elsewhere, like from the two Kuwaiti guys who were in my high school homeroom for 3 years in the '60s in D.C. Or the Irani family that runs the grocery two blocks down. Or the Egyptian man who runs the video store in the next block. They're all moderates and capitalists, but they still visit the relatives in the old country and we have great conversations. Oh, and the Lebanese couple who runs my favorite homecooked foods lunch joint.

Well, johnbt, I read the first whole paragraph and then decided that there was a false premise ... separation of church and state: "It was in the United States, however, that the principle was first given the force of law ...". You're gonna have to reference that for me and the rest of us.

Or should I go back and read the whole thing? Even though "There's nothing new there that I haven't read elsewhere - I've read a great deal in the past 50 years. Or heard elsewhere, ..."? By the way, there are very few muslims of which I am aware, with which I can interact with on a daily basis, but I did spend three years of my life in Saudi Arabia.

its going to take another 911 event in the US to get anything to happen.

heard rumors that west coast hijackings were prevented on 911. cant help but wonder how better off the US would be if they were allowed to occur.

too many damn secrets and lies which promotes wingbat behavrour.

i GOT IT aspen... and that's what i've been thinkin ever since the towers fell...................... got my own ideas on how to turn things around....

Thank you for condescending to re-examine the videos...
It's very big of you to suffer through what you already know... just for the sake of good manners.

Yep...a man among men.
